Problem
The risk of collapses, landslides, avalanches, erosion of bridges, riverbanks, and lakeshores remains on elevations and in mountainous areas. To prevent such disasters, reinforcing barriers should be used to avoid serious damage.
The currently used gabion and reinforced concrete systems do not always perform their functions and have several significant drawbacks. They are associated with high maintenance costs, low seismic resistance, the risk of unacceptable deformations, transportation complexity, as well as the complexity of construction and installation.
