Guardrail with a detachable beam

Guardrail with a detachable beam is a guardrail-type lightweight median barrier for separation of traffic flows, which has small dimensions and can be installed on narrow roads.

This barrier returns the vehicle back to the lane, preventing it from crossing into the oncoming traffic and ensuring drivers' safety in conditions of limited visibility. The width of the beam section also plays a significant role, covering a large part of the light flux from oncoming cars.

Median light barrier with a detachable beam is used on federal and regional roads, where there is a high risk of a vehicle crossing into the oncoming lane.

The design of a light median barrier, developed by specialists of JSC "Zavod Prodmash", is fully certified and meets the requirements of the technical regulation of the Customs Union TR CU 014/2011.

Does not require concrete foundation
Does not turn the car upon impact
Improved visibility at night due to the use of retroreflectors
In accordance with section 9.5 ODM 218.6.018-2016, it does not require quarterly maintenance
Additional posts are not required on radial sections with a curve less than 400 m
Due to the use of a standard section beam in the traffic barrier, the glare effect from oncoming vehicles' headlights is reduced

Testing

The lightweight median barrier has successfully passed tests in accordance with GOST 33129-2014, confirming compliance with GOST R 52289-2019 and GOST R 52399-2022 requirements. When a passenger car weighing 1.5 tons collided at a speed of 90 km/h, the barrier showed minimal deformation.
